Compiled links of useful tools I currently use.

Image
GIMP - GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
Inkscape - An Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.



PDF
Foxit Reader - A free and light weight pdf reader. Loads faster than Adobe Acrobat.
PDF Creator - PDFCreator easily creates PDFs from any Windows program.Use it like a printer in Word, StarCalc or any other Windows application.

3D
Google Sketchup - Create, modify and share 3D models.
Blender - Blender is the free open source 3D content creation suite, available for all major operating systems under the GNU General Public License.

Utilities
Autoruns - This utility, which has the most comprehensive knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them. These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys.
Process Explorer - Shows information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded. Similar to Task Manager.
